Does ScpToolkit allow to use the DS4 touchpad as a mouse? And does ScpToolkit allow to control the DS4 lightbar? DS4Windows allows to do that. InputMapper is not open source, so it's not an option. Otherwise, their features seem similar Thanks. As for which one is better, I personally prefer DS4Windows because it's open source and free of ads, unlike InputMapper. Last edited by Trigger 7:44pĮven if you don't need XInput, though, DS4Windows and InputMapper are still worth having for touchpad control, lightbar customization, and game profiles, as you mentioned. I'd vastly prefer to continue using DS4Windows. inputmapper is working better for me since i can't get DS4 to work in exclusive mode The improved version, Input Mapper (which in my opinion is a larger, clunkier, less efficient mess of a GUI with inferior functions and terrible light bar colors - and contains ads unless you pay!), still works, but DS4Windows does not. Inputmapper is way slower and more sluggish for me, ds4 is a fast double click and I'm set to play so I would suggest ds4windows. The DS4Windows had better reception among stuff I read online, but after learning that InputMapper was able to allow the use of the audio jack of the DS4 controller I'm wondering why not as many people preferred it shaz8. So, one point for InputMapper for me Both have been updated over the years, and both have had considerably good development as well. Input mapper has ginormous RAM usage, about 5x of DS4Windows', but at this point that is the least of my problems as I wanted my CPU usage as low as possible. Switched to Input Mapper, only got ~1-3%. But if you're looking for deeper features, or using any controller except DualShock 4, you should look for an InputMapper alternative! And it's easier than it seems to find one DS4Windows is taking up ~10-12% CPU usage lately.

In general, InputMapper (which is also called DS4Windows) is a good controller mapping software for those who have a DualShock 4 controller.
